We were looking for a place to hike for an afternoon within a short drive from Breckenridge and were recommended to check out Lower Cataract Lake. It was a non-strenuous 3 mile hike around the lake with lots of pretty views and even a moose. The road to the lake is rough, but possible even in a small car, just put on your seat belt
