If you boondock on BLM land and want to continue doing so, then you should contact your representative.

It looks like boondocking on most BLM land could be coming to a halt.

 
That's going to make a lot of people mad. The attitude of lots of RVers from out west is it's our land and we'll use it as we want. Lots of popular dry camping places are overused and trashed. The theory of some .gov agencies has been to concentrate the overuse to certain areas to preserve others. We've dry camped some and can't remember exactly what .gov land it all was. Being from Pa where there is virtually no open public land to camp on we're not bothered by campgrounds like natives here are. The big difference is for example Pa is 85% private land and 15% public land and Az is 85% public land and 15% private land so there's a different attitude. It won't make much difference to our traveling.
