McDonald's opens first CosMc's about a mile from where we used to live in Bolingbrook, IL. Our daughter sent us a picture a few days ago of the new branding on the restaurant. This store also is the first time I have ever gone through a drive-through and the person taking the order was not a person, but a computer talking to you. It worked pretty well and eliminated another human from the payroll. Automation has been used to counter high labor rates for more than a century and automation isn't going away any time soon.
