Barrow Gang (Bonnie & Clyde) shootout at Dexfield park near Dexter, Iowa

I was staying overnight in Stuart Iowa with some spare time to find something interesting. I pulled up google maps and walla, a roadside plaque marking the spot of a shootout with the Barrow gang in 1933. I decided to drive to the roadside marker and see it for myself.

It's an interesting piece of history!

We have the Bonnie and Clyde museum in Gibsland, La, where they made their final stand. They were ruthless killers and that’s how they died. Shot to pieces.

I just watched this on Netflix the other day, "The Highwaymen" with Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner. It was a pretty good watch IMHO.
