Volta RV storage system that can replace a generator

I have never heard of this system before today.

Volta says this system can replace the generator in your coach. The system work by placing a very large alternator on your tow vehicle, a large Li-Ion battery pack, and a large inverter.

Storage capacity from 3.3kWh – 100kWh+ 3.3Kwh isn't that much, but 100kwh sure is. With that much power you could probably run the fridge, A/Cs, and more for a couple days?

They mention no costs and probably for a good reason.

I'm wondering if it will be superceded by 12v systems though. We already have 12v fridges that work very well, and 12 volt AC units are creeping out. There's not a lot more you would need 110v for in a real boondock situation, although you guys with the big rigs would need your luxury washers and dryers though.

how long will a 12V fridge run off one house battery? .
I know with 2 golf cart batts in my trailer that 12 gas absorption fridge will run for a week, while using the lights when I need them as well as running my cpap and a fan off the inverter for the same time period..

I would guess probably about 24 hours, if very careful with other loads.

you are talking about a straight DC refrigerator and not an absorption unit that has a 12v microprocessor.. right?
