Beautiful pictures and it looks like a great place to put the kayaks in. Is this in Washington (the state)?

Yep Washington state, Olympic Peninsula in the Lake Cushman/Hoodsport area.
We have some inflatable kayaks, keep meaning to get some plastic ones, but the 4 we have, have lasted going on 5 seasons. Lake is really nice to paddle in! Lots of forest service roads to explore.
We are in the process of trying to buy some property out there. We looked at one this weekend. 4 RV spots, sewer, water, power. $72,000. So if that goes through, you guys can head out this and stay for free, then you can spend money on gas. . We have been saving to buy a piece, this might be
one. Anyway here you go.

Any recommendation on the best time of year to visit?

Summer, so end of June through middle of September is awesome!!! That is the best time to visit!
Rest of the time is eh, depends. Last winter was mild with very little rain.
