I found this US DOT website today that links to every state's DOT website for road conditions. Very useful and I wish I had known about it years ago.

Another helpful thing you might be interested in is the 511 app. I think they have it for pretty much all states where you can see the interstate and traffic cameras to see if there is any backups on your route or not. I like watching them. My dad uses the app a lot where he is a truck driver and it’s very helpful.

This is the app he uses. I don’t have it on my phone. I typically do it from the website on the computer. This particular one is Virginia but I think they have one for each state just maybe called something different.
