Very cool place. IMAX Threater, etc. Well worth the trip. Believe it's in Winslow, AZ.

Very nice. I’m still looking for my families pictures from out west in Arizona and Utah and some other places. They got misplaced recently and some got ruined in the flood. I’ll try and post mine soon when I dig them all out.

Another place I've driven past, but have never stopped. From what I understand it's privately owned? From the satellite view the visitor center looks pretty large as does the parking lot. I always assumed it as kind of a tourist trap, but now I'm thinking differently. Science and space have always fascinated me.

Arizona is a blast. Kids love the Deer farm and Bearazona (zoo). We stayed in Williams, AZ both times. Nothing like traveling in an RV IMHO.

Been there twice and always get there right at the open. Never had any crowds to speak of, but noticed more people coming when we were leaving. Actually really cool. They have parking for RVs and trailers.

We will be pulling our 5th wheel past there on I-40 next October, now I HAVE to stop. I love historically significant places.

I stopped there in 2003 with my son after driving from Pa so he could report to Luke AFB in Glendale. We thought it was great but I've never been able to get my wife interested enough to go see it. "A big hole in the ground? Forget it." It was nicely presented then, probably better now. For some reason they sunk a mine shaft in the center looking for the meteor. Back then they had a plywood astronaut standing by the fence in the middle to give you some scale. It's hard to grasp that the Grand Canyon took millions of years to form, on the other hand you stand on the rim of this and try to imagine it was made in seconds by a giant rock from space. There's a campground right where you get off the 40 and a fairly new casino just to the west. Meteor Crater is worth a stop.

Wayne, have you been to Sedona?

Meteor Crater is worth a stop.
That's it, we have to stop!

Wikipedia says it was a iron/nickel rock about 160 feet in diameter that cause a hole that big! I sure hope we never meet up with one of those rocks a mile in diameter.

Wayne, have you been to Sedona?
Nope, that's on the list too. I've heard it's beautiful. What do you suggest seeing there?
