We joined Harvest Hosts, because we were hoping to find good places to boondock, other than WalMart parking lots. Having considered joining for quite a while and having an immediate need to boondock, we decided to join and we're glad we did.
Our first stay was at Tuscan Hill Winery in Effingham, IL. I hope all future stays are as pleasant as our stay here. We called ahead to make sure we could park overnight and stay until the early afternoon the next day and run our generator, they said no problem.
We were the only RV in a large parking lot and since it was during the week, there were no more than ten cars in the paved lot at any time.

We found the most level spot in the very corner of the lot. You can see the cell tower in the near distance, which provided fantastic internet.
