This is a fairly new park. After speaking with the owners, it is their 3rd season and I'd say they have it nailed. Massive, well-spaced, level sites. All of the utilities are practically brand new and work great. They have many wi-fi access points scattered all around. While not paved, the sites drain very well (It rained A LOT this weekend). The owners are fantastic people to speak to and even apologized for not being there when we got there. (Per their booking documents, you don't really even need to, just head to your site and start setting up).

Getting to the park is a cakewalk. There's no bad bends in the road once you get off of NC64, it is just a bit narrow, as small country roads tend to be in this part of the world, but the drive to is nicely paved and navigable by pretty much anything I'd imagine.

There was a nicely cleared area directly behind our site with a communal firepit and a gently babbling brook. They've planted trees between all of the sites so that in a few years, they'll have some nice shade for you. This is the first time in a while that the wife actually said she'd like to go back to a place. Personally, I really like the Ducktown/Mccaysville/Copperhill/Blue Ridge area. It is just a neat part of the country with interesting stories and some cool things to look at and do.

On to some Pics:

Site 10. There's enough space behind the camper that I can walk on gravel with my cargo rack down and you can see how much space is still around. Seriously, the sites are nice and big. Loved it.

Not all the sites are the same (Site 11 required a little bit of crapper hose support) but site #10 has THE BEST crapper hose drainage of any site I've ever rented. No fooling with the stupid Camco crapper hose support, it was just downhill all the way into the hole (Yes, there's a teeny tiny upward jog, but the picture makes it look worse than it is). That's also an internet Wi-Fi point on the post, so our signal was great.

The view looking down from the turnaround circle at the top of the park. To the right of our rig is my friends 34 foot Grey Wolf, with her Ram 1500 in front of it, pulled away from the camper and she's STILL not outside of the spot.

We really appreciate when sites have lots of space around them. In contrast, we have stayed overnight in parks where we had to make sure our slide didn't hit the next door neighbor's. This park has nice big sites!

Ctech, you dont realize how lucky you are, living where you are... you have proximity to the mountains and the ocean, all within a few hundred miles..

Ohh I'm aware. Grew up in PA, but I call this my home.

I grew up calling them mountains, they're really just biggish rolling hills, but still pretty and a nice place to hang out.

you start getting up near the GA TN NC border, they are mountains.
FWIW most of Georgia is rolling or quite hilly, except the coastal shelf down from Savanna to the sub base..

did Shermans men march thru Athens?
.

Not according to what I could find. They marched a decent bit south of here in the milledgeville area.
