Floor fixed from scratches caused by slide

The slides in our trailer will sometimes just touch the floor when moving. New Horizons provides six plastic strips to lay down before bringing the slides in. Our floor is vinyl and has been a very tough floor. The brand is TrafficMaster that has grip strips, they really grip, which makes repairing the floor more difficult.

One time I forgot to lay the plastic strips down and this is the result:

Our Home Depot has a few more boxes of this flooring, so I grabbed one. I'll be able to do this repair at least six more times. :-(

Hydraulic and New Horizons makes them. All are very strong aluminum frames that you can jump up and down on the slide roof if you feel so inclined.

|Wayne, be glad you found matching flooring..
surprised they don't have some sort of wheels/rollers etc on the underside of the slide out framing to minimize some of that scraping.

worst thing is when something falls down there under the slide and you run the slide right over it..

I wonder if there's some way you can glue a strip of plastic on the slide lip.

I almost said teflon.....wouldn't have been any gluing that.

one of my slides has a 2 inch wide strip of weatherstrip on the inside bottom.
I suspect its function would be to act as a sweeper..
