Fish boil video at Pelletier's Restaurant in Door County Wisconsin

I found this video and decided to post it on Youtube for everyone. It's called a "fish boil" because they flash boil the water at the end of the cooking time to make the water boil which spills and removes the fish oils floating on top. It's a really cool experience!

that isn't my understanding of superheat, but if thats what you they want to call it... basically they are burning off the oils in a flash but that water didn't change temp one bit would be my observation. of course its just one of those drunken Wisconsin things goes without saying.

superheat is the measurement of temperature rise in a gas without a corresponding increase in the pressure of that gas.. and you know for a fact that you can't increase the boiling point of water without sealing that water in a container and raisng the pressure.. got something to do with the latent heat of evaporation..

Watch real close at 0:50, you'll see the water boil over, which spills the oils floating on top.

You are correct - I changed "super heat" to "flash boil"
