Emerald lake is at the end of the trail starting at the Bear Lake trailhead. You'll find the trailhead at the ranger station near the parking lot at the end of Bear Lake Road. The round trip hike to Emerald lake is about 3 miles and not an easy. Make sure you wear good hiking shoes or boots, not hiking sandals, because the hike is so rocky that my feet were killing me because the trails are so rocky and the sandals don't offer enough support. Hiking to Emerald lake, you'll hike past Nymph Lake and Dream Lake, they are both beautiful, but can't hold a candle to Emerald lake. It's a long hard hike, but it's sooo worth the work getting there.
