Debris in Water Heater from Anode

When I took the plug/anode out to drain the tank, I snapped a couple pictures of debris in the tank. I presume the debris is from the anode. An anode has been in the water heater, submerged in water for about 250 nights total.

What is a good way to remove the debris from the bottom of the tank?

When do you replace the water heater anode?

This anode has been in use since Aug 1, 2021 and we have spent over 100 nights in the trailer since then. We don't drain the water heater in the warm months, so the anode is slowly being consumed, except when the trailer is winterized. Is this anode still serviceable or is it done?

Water Heater Sacrificial Anode after 94 days use

This anode was new before our winter trip. I am surprised how much of the sacrificial anode has corroded away in such a short time. The water in Arizona tastes like minerals so I'm guessing that's where most of the sacrificing happened. I will put this one back in and use it again. Has anyone...

It really depends on how hard the water is where you have hooked up. Do you run any type of water filter? The charcoal filters help taste but do nothing to reduce the suspended minerals...
 
FWIW... Our 2019 Outback 328RL needs to be descaled. I have never done the process and our tank has the calcified crystals in it every year when we blowout for winter.

We spend significant time out west and spent 6 weeks in AZ this winter. The water in AZ is about as hard as it gets. We do have the Clearsource dual filter setup in our 5th Wheel, but it does nothing to soften the water.

I think I'll take my inspection camera and get some pictures of the inside of the tank. My guess is it probably has a buildup.
