Dead Horse Point State Park - pictures

We were here in Sept 2019 primarily to see Arches and Canyonlands, but didn't know if Dead Horse Point was worth seeing. When you drive from Moab to the north part of Canyonland (Island in the Sky) you drive right past the sign for Dead Horse Point. We thought why not and decided to pull in to check it out, we were already there, so if it wasn't much, then it wouldn't be much of a loss.

Just WOW. Don't let 'only' having the stature of a state park fool you. The panoramic view from DHP is one of the most visually stunning sights I've ever seen.

Dead Horse Point is one of those places where you can stand silent and no matter how hard try to take it all in, you just can't. The big picture is so amazing, unlike anything you've ever seen, while the details are just as amazing. Vehicles on the road way down by the river can give you an idea of the vast scale you are looking at, it's simply mesmerizing.

This is a panorama I put together with Lightroom. It gives you an idea of the enormity of the view.
