Dan Nicholas Campground

Rowan County. Great wooded campground.

Really large sites. Very wooded, can be tight due to trees, you better know how to back. I would try not to get here at night as it's pitch black, and tight openings due to trees, but beautiful.

A bit buggy, but remedied with the use of the fogger.

Dan Nichols Park gets a 5 star rating on All-Stays. I usually filter for 4 plus stars and read the reviews to make sure it's a good park. Your pictures of the site make us drool. We would love to stay in a park like that. There is something about having a canopy of trees keeping the trailer cool, but letting enough light through so you can feel the warmth.

I would bet the parks gets pretty busy being between Charlotte and Greensboro?

Sometimes it does, we have not been here in a year. It's great for campfires.

Wow I would love to go here. It’s close to home too. And that’s funny I’ve never seen a bug fogger before we usually use citronella candles and bug spray. 🙂

Spasm posted this thread about his mega-fogger. I'd like one, but the mosquitoes here have been almost non-existent the last couple years.

The only downside here is no sewer hookup, only dumpstation.
You just have to watch your grey water.
