Stay Dates - June 28-30, 2024
Site#: 2 and 3
Site Type: Back In
Full Hookups: Yes
Wi-Fi: Yes - (About 5mbs up/down)
Cable TV: Yes (Didn't hook up and test though)
Would Stay Again?: Probably Not (Mainly because we prefer to be on waterside sites)
Total Sites on Campground - 15
A pleasant experience start to finish. Booking requires a phone call and was handled promptly and very politely. As stated on the website, they cater to 'self-contained' campers. This means you don't have individual fire rings or tables at the site. The sites were also quite close together. Utilities are in excellent shape, good water pressure, no power problems, no dumping problems. Site #3, where our camper was, is a little unlevel left to right, but nothing too bad and was easily handled by my leveling ramps.
The view, probably one of the best we've ever had. Campsites 1-4 have a direct view out over the valley in the direction of McCaysville/Copper Hill. Makes for some really nice sunsets.
I thought I took some pictures of the 'non-premium' sites, but going through my pictures I guess I didn't. They are just nicely graveled sites, the ones in the middle are pull-through.
Site #3 - I could have parked more to the right, but felt like that was encroaching on site 4 a little too much for my liking. Besides, we were traveling in a group of 2 and could make an adjustment to the other camper so we'd have some 'community space'.
Rear view of 'premium' sites 1-4. We are occupying 2-3. I feel like it really should be 3 instead of 4 sites, but this campground has been here a long time and campers used to be smaller, so I get it.
Small pavilion and community grill (not pictured) just a few steps from campsites 1-4.
Sunset view right off the back of the campsite.
Another view of the sunset over the wife's head.
