EZ Lube Axles - Second Service

I spin the wheels while SLOWLY pumping in the grease, so i don't send grease out the back seal. Yes the first time it takes a lot of grease. The approved greases on dexters list seem to be lithium complex, so i've stayed with that. Currently using valvoline synpower.

Living in a RV longer term in a cold/ windy climate?

I would be concerned with moisture buildup. We breath out a lot of moisture, in a confined space, with cool walls and warm heated air. It can condense and run down the walls. I think an electronic thermometer with humidity reading would be good to have.

Do you disconnect the trailer electrical plug from your tow vehicle overnight?

Running a 30amp adapter to a 50amp outlet, only uses 1 leg, so you have 25amps vs the 30amp outlet. I have used an adapter and ran off the 50amp outlet, when the 30am outlet was all worn out and lose , other wise i use the 30amp.

    Why heated water hoses?

Leaky sandstone at Glen Canyon Dam

5-10 gallons a second in sandstone for decades! I'd worry that it would be eroding constantly and the leak getting bigger.

Do you balance your trailer tires?

I have them balanced, just makes sense it would be easier on the bearings and axle.
