Here are some trail breakdowns from the Big Bend Visitors Guide! I spent most of my time in the Chisos Mountains (as we also camped there. The Chisos Basin Campground is stunning! Will have to track down pictures from our campsite)
I've explored the Blue Mesa Dam and surrounding areas before - a great adventure off the beaten path! I'm sure tons of people don't realize what they're missing. Took this photo somewhere on our journey...not a sponsored post! Lol.
We took this photo while driving to the park on CO-17. Beautiful view of the contrasting landscapes! Unfortunately, we went during the "mosquito season"... who knew that was a thing?! Not me. Looking forward to going back and exploring more! Has anyone explored this park much?
This photo was taken at the end of the Lost Mine Trail (approx. 1100 ft gain over 2.5 miles), actually fairly strenuous in my opinion but well worth it if it's a clear day! The Window Trail in Chisos Basin is another Moderate trail very close to Lost Mine.
One of my favorite views from my trip to Big Bend NP in June 2019! Lost Mine Trail (4.8 miles; Moderate). Anybody else have some favorite Big Bend / West Texas trails?
